About Northstar Chess Club

Northstar is a community chess club where new players feel welcome and serious players find real competition. Small classes are grouped by age and level, and every student practices between sessions with their NGChess class.

Parents get a clear schedule, straightforward pricing and one place to register. Coaches spend their time teaching instead of updating spreadsheets.

For club owners

From this page to a child in a class

The whole path, in five steps. Two of them are on this demo and you can click them now; the rest happen in your account, so they are described here rather than acted out.

  1. The public page

You are on it. Programs, schedule, coaches and events all come from what the club publishes — there is no separate website to keep in step.

  2. A family asks for a place

They pick a program and send a registration or waitlist request. It arrives in your inbox with the program, the child's age group and how to reach the parent.

Open the registration form On this demo — it sends nothing

  3. You accept them into a class

Accepting a request enrolls the child in the class linked to that program, and the request keeps its status so you can see what you have and have not answered.

    In your account

  4. The child joins with a code and a chosen name

No email address, no password and no public profile for the student. They enter the class code and the name their teacher will see.

See the join screen Live page

  5. Their work comes back to you

Assigned puzzles and games turn into progress the teacher can act on, and into a summary a parent can be sent — without giving the child an inbox or a stranger to talk to.
